Blogs: Fad or Marketing Medium of the Future?

I’ve been pondering that same question, especially after seeing blogger Jeremy Wright auction his services on ebay this past week. The winning bid was for $3350 for 3 months of blogging services, and went to a promotional products company, http://www.inkspress.com. It seems to have generated quite a bit of media attention. I wonder how this might affect the future of blogging.
