Internet Explorer on a Mac is dead.

Posted by Thomas McMahon on Feb 3rd in Online Marketing |

As the browser wars continue, I think we can now rule out one. Internet Explorer on a Mac should be considered dead. Why? If you run IE on a Mac and load www.msn.com you will get a horribly rendered site. Seeing as this is Microsoft’s browser and a Microsoft site, I would think they’d work together, but they don’t. This leads me to believe that they no longer care about IE on a Mac and maybe we shouldn’t either.

It’s also good to note that on June 13th, 2003, Microsoft stopped developing the browser for Mac. Any lingering users should seriously consider switching to Safari, Firefox, or one of the many other choices.

Netscape 8 Coming Soon

Posted by Thomas McMahon on Feb 1st in Online Marketing |

Thomas is the fellow who re-designed this blog and is also our design-savvy SEO. He’s busting at the seams to share his enthusiasm about search so here you go:

Netscape 8 is almost a reality. A beta, along with a re-design of Netscape.com, should be out February 17th. The new Netscape has the rendering engine of Firefox and Internet Explorer all in one browser. They are also working with security companies to get blacklists of sites that contain spyware, scams and other issues. With that information Netscape can warn it’s users before their computer becomes affected. Those are just two of the new features that are planed for the new Netscape 8.
