Seriously Cool Meta Search

inquisitor
Today I received a heads up on one of the coolest search tools I’ve seen this year. It’s in beta like everything new these days and it’s called Inquisitor.

What’s so cool about this search tool is the Ajax implementation that shows suggested phrases as you type ala Google Suggest AND search results as you type. How cool is that?

You can also pick from these blog, social bookmark, ecommerce and regular search engines:

A9
Amazon.com
Digg
Flickr
Google
Technorati
Yahoo!

With all the Web 2.0 hype these days, it’s great to see a tool that just doesn’t sound cool, it really works.
Hat tip to Glen from Blogfuse.

  • Andy, try Aaron Wall's keyword research tool at http://tools.seobook.com. It's chock full of features and the price is right.
  • Hi Lee,

I get it, thanks. Anyway, this Inquisitor tool is quite cool, very fast search results. BTW, can someone recommend a good keyword research tool? (besides Good Keyword)

    Thanks

    Hey Andy,

Different results may be due to Inquisitor searching a different Google data center than you do or it may be that Inquisitor is scraping search results from Google like other meta search engines do, and thereby not showing exaxctly the same information.

  • Hi, just came across your blog and I think it's great.

As for this tool, just a question. How come the search results are different say when I do a Google search without going through Inquisitor?
  • Very cool tool! I think this could be very beneficial for online research as well as keyword research.
  • I have to admit, I clicked the link before reading your post and was quite surprised when it started searching as I typed. Pretty cool, and yes it is nice to see something just work instead of all the hype.
  • I was also surprised when it prompted me to use FireFox.

After using it a bit .... great tool. But, no MSN search???
  • Wow, I didn't even check ie. I don't use it anymore. That does make it "less" cool though, since less people will be able to use it. It would be a good idea for them to have a blog too.
  • Pretty cool but odd that it doesn't work in ie...
