Nice interview. I've tested a few different services and have had the best luck with Feedburner and Amazon affiliate ads in our feeds to date. I haven't has a change to try Feedvertising yet.

Joe, I think people use feeds so they don't have to deal with bookmarks. Adding ads to posts doesn't change that formula as far as I'm concerned. If the feed has posts that are purely ads, that could be more of a problem, but generally that's not the case.

And RSS users are a good crowd to keep happy. They may not make you the most money directly from advertising, but they're probably some of the most loyal readers and are going to link to your best posts more often than people reading your site through non-RSS channels.

What a dilemma! First there is the debate that if I publish a feed I will get less traffic. So, I put ads in my feeds to make up the difference, but the beauty of RSS has been the absence of spam. If my audience starts clicking on ads from my feeds only to be disappointed because they think they are my posts, will I not ultimately loose traffic?
