I agree in that all are valid reasons for me to an extent.... There is no single reason why I blog, it is to market myself and my business ideas. It is also a platform to inform friends and relatives and other interested people what I am working on. Ultimately once I have enough readers I hope it will be a way of generating revenue directly and indirectly. Interesting – I have just written a blog about my reasons for blogging.

But it will be neat to see the tally after a few days of voting (please post again to remind us). Sometimes the motivation (purpose) for starting a blog ends with a different purpose. We suggest to our customers to create a company or website blog, if anything just to be a natural and easy way to create more content. We find though that once you have a blog and even a few subscribers, that makes you think deeper and more often of what you can blog about, and then even more learning or innovation occurs when you actually craft your post.
