The past 2 weeks have been nuts so I’m a bit behind on a few announcements that I’ve been meaning to draw attention to. For example, Andy Beal’s announcement of the second Marketing Pilgrim SEM Scholarship for Spring 2007.
Scholarship prizes worth more than $10,000 will be awarded. This is a great opportunity for budding or even experienced search marketers to show their stuff and win services, consulting and prizes that could serve as a huge boost in their search marketing career. I know TopRank will be watching very closely as we are hiring for 3 positions now and possibly 2 more in Q3.
How it works: Submit an original article on a search marketing related topic. The articles will have 4 weeks for the authors to promote and those that have generated the most traffic qualify as one of 5 finalists to be reviewed by industry expert judges who will pick their favorite. Judges include:
Kim Krause Berg – UsabilityEffect.com
Jim Boykin – WebBuildPages.com
Rand Fishkin – SEOMoz.org
Andrew Goodman – Page-Zero.com
Michael Jensen – SoloSEO.com
Kalena Jordan – SearchEngineCollege.com
Jennifer Laycock – SearchEngineGuide.com
Todd Malicoat – Stuntdubl.com
Boris Mordkovich – SearchMarketingStandard.com
Lee Odden – TopRank Online Marketing
Elisabeth Osmeloski – SearchEngineWatch.com
Neil Patel – PronetAdvertising.com
Barry Schwartz – RustyBrick.com
Brett Tabke – WebmasterWorld.com
Laura Thieme – BizResearch.com
Aaron Wall –SEOBook.com
It’s an honor to be included in a list of such talented and experienced search marketers and if you’re a regular reader of Online Marketing Blog, you know what I think of lists for marketing.
