The interesting thing is if those people that are moving from SEO expert to "reporter" are still responsible for being SEO experts within their organization, the quality of consulting will suffer. I've noted this happening in several other industries that are heavy on the blogging element, that more and more are shifting from the actual area of expertise over to the expertise of blogging and news reporting. Guess we'll just see where the evolution takes us...
