I have seen the same thing happen to my blog roll in the summer last year. it looks like we have to keep coming up with new inspiring content to make sure that we do not lose our ranking everytime the providers change their habits. After all this habit forming, once you have a blog or KPI site like I have you can never stop adding content. Im in the process of writing a book compendium for the website http://www.kpilist.com

Have you ever done an online PDF sale of a book before?

That's an excellent idea...take the widget down if the problem persists. One thing that I'm very surprised at is how many people have information on their Websites that hurts instead of helps them. An example: Comedians who post a calendar that is only partially full. (i.e. January and February may only have one booking in it) Doesn't that make fans wonder if they're truly funny. As far as marketing (online) goes, I always say "if it doesn't help, leave it out."

I hope they fix the problem soon, Lee.

Best!

My blog dropped as well Lee, from about 44 to 83, ouch. I had no idea, however, that it had anything to do with bloglines subscribers? Guess I never read the fine print.
