For the first or maybe the second time ever, we skipped a BIGLIST update last Friday.  Things got a little crazy with SES London and other business tasks. But no worry, we have a great lineup of SEO blogs for you this week:

• SEO Copywriting - Let’s celebrate the launch of SEO and wordsmith guru Heather Lloyd-Martin’s snappy new blog about the magic of writing for users and search engines.

• Jon Myers Search Blog - Jon is the head of search and Associate Director at MediaVest in the UK writing about his views of the search engine marketing world.

It looks like the SEM blogosphere is on a roll because we have a nice varied collection of search and online marketing blogs for the BIGLIST this week.

• Ranked Hard SEO Comic - Get your funny on with this quality SEO comic about the mythical “Ranked Hard” SEO agency, from folks at Big Oak.

• THINKing - With trends toward media creation, optimization and promotion the thoughts that Harry Hoover, Mark Harrison and Brant Waldeck publish about advertising, creativity, marketing & PR become very relevant for the next generation of search marketing.

This week’s BIGLIST update of SEO and social media blogs is pretty close to being the best batch of new blogs I’ve seen since we started publishing the list a year ago. What a great collection of resources! It really makes our industry better by having more and more people blogging their ideas, insights and even letting a few “secrets” slip out now and again.  Check it out:

Trail of the Fire Horse - Another excellent Canada based search and social media marketing blog comes this time from the very smart/savvy Dave Harry aka “the Gypsy”.

It’s pretty hard to compete with news like Microsoft offering to buy Yahoo for $44 billion or Amazon to buy Audible for $300 million, but there’s plenty to read on those topics and more on this week’s BIGLIST SEO blogs update.

• SEO Design Solutions Blog - You don’t see too many practical tips blogs these days and that’s why it’s nice to see Jeffrey Smith blogging all manner of tips on SEO from WordPress optimization to organic vs PPC.

• Smackdown! - Michael VanDeMar is full of piss and vinegar especially when it comes to Matt Cutts. What this blog lacks in subscriber numbers it makes up for in good humor.

Keeping up with the BIGLIST while traveling is usually not an issue. When the hotel I’m in offers nothing better than voodoo psycho internet Miami-style, that’s another matter. But, better late than never. Starting with 15 blogs in this week’s queue, only the 5 below made the cut.

The original blog post that announced the BIGLIST has been nominated for the “SEMMYS“.  Judges have now made that post a finalist in the “Blogs” category. Please be sure to vote for “Must Read Search Marketing Blogs” by Jan 30th.

Another freezing week here in Minnesota means less time outside and more time checking out new search marketing blogs. I present to you dear readers, this week’s additions to the BIGLIST of SEO and Search Marketing Blogs.

• B(abble)log - A.C. (Anne Charlotte) Riley is a tenured online marketer and copywriter that blogs about all manner of marketing topics.

• Inside Facebook - Justin Smith, Jonathan Lipps and Collin Smillie blog about Facebook inside and out.

• NowSourcing - With Brian Wallace social media is the name of the game.

It’s been a busy week BIGLISTers, but today we have a nice collection of Search Marketing Blogs for your weekend reading pleasure.

• Live Search Webmaster Center Blog - Official blog of the Live Search Webmaster Center team with just a little bit of a bias with SEOmoz and Search Engine Land as the only other blogs they link to.

• Dellanave - With a ton of success doing development and monetizing web sites, Shoemoney associate and fellow Minnesotan Dave Dellanave is making another go of the blogging thing writing mostly about tech but also SEO, SEM and related experiences.

It’s here. It’s finally here. The last BIGLIST seo blog reviews post of 2007. In all, we’ve reviewed over 700 SEO, PPC and Social Media Marketing blogs with only 400 or remaining. Who made this final BIGLIST post of the year? Read on:

• Digerati Marketing - UK based Mark Cook uses a blog as his company website and writes about all aspects of marketing online ranging from viral marketing to search engine optimisation (yeah, with an “s”) and some white/black hat for good measure.

After a lackluster entry last week, at least as far as blogs to be added, we’re back on track with SEO and SEM blogs for the BIGLIST.

• Seer Interactive SEO blog - Wil Reynolds at Philadelphia based Seer Interactive blogs the gamut of SEO/SEM and internet marketing subjects.
• Billy’s Blog - Billy works at Widemile in Seattle and blogs a lot on the topic of landing page optimization, a/b testing and multivariate testing.
• Raven SEO Tools Blog - Jon Henshaw and Lee Smith-Bryan of Nashville based Sitening blog mostly about SEO tactics along with the ususal fare of search industry topics and commentary.

There’s a first time for everything dear readers and today is the first time we do not have new BIGLIST SEO/SEM blog reviews and feeds to be added to the already bloated RSS reader of your choice. That’s not to say we don’t have several in queue, but they’re too new or there are other reasons it’s not time yet. It might also have to do with the fact I’ve been on the road the past week+ and haven’t had as much time to explore new SEM blogs.

This BIGLIST search marketing blogs update is going up on a Saturday as we had more than enough posts go up yesterday. There are quite a few additions. Enjoy some weekend SEO reading:

• Social Blog Roll - This is a cool tool from Nick Wilsdon of einternet that enables you to stay on top of what’s happening in the search marketing world by polling the blog rolls of popular search marketing blogs and ranking them based on the number of votes they get.

The BIGLIST had some BIG changes this week dear readers. Our list manager went to work checking each link and each blog for post recency and 70 blogs didn’t make the cut. Ouch! We’re not strict, just make sure you post at least once every 2 weeks and the posts are mostly about marketing online or your blog will be removed from the BIGLIST.

Dropped and want to get back on? Start posting first. Then you know the drill: Links get noticed, Technorati favorites get noticed, Twitter followers get noticed. Plus if you do something special on Sphinn, StumbleUpon or on one of the blogs that’s already in, you could certainly let it happen organically.
