I love the scopers (the camera performers) and the self expression. And the chatters in the room are cool too. But the ability for random haters to come into the room and silence other and email periscope to bad cammers when no one is doing nothing. A random, forgive me language, idiot with emotional problems can silence a chatters because they are not in the mood or do not like the person. WRONG. They should just leave the room or leave it up to cammer to decide…. it is the cammer room. Best solution is to allow cammer to assign a moderator. 1 is fines. Increased numbers increase the number of possibility of idiots.

Comment on Death of Facebook Organic Reach = New Opportunities for Influencer Marketing by Caitlin Burgess http://www.toprankblog.com/2018/01/facebook-update-influencer-marketing/#comment-558657 Fri, 02 Feb 2018 16:27:00 +0000 http://www.toprankblog.com/?p=23728#comment-558657 All great questions, Pranav. Generally speaking, the mix of influencers you’d want to build relationships with will vary greatly from industry to industry, not to mention what your main marketing objectives are. From our perspective, having a mix of brandividuals, industry experts, customers, prospects, and internal SMEs should be a goal to have a range of interesting voices and diverse insights. But it all starts with research.

Yes. These incremental changes we’ve seen over the past few years has made organic reach virtually impossible and put more emphasis on paid.

I remember seeing that tweet in fact! And I agree with your statement of saying users aren’t always thinking about trafic whn adding a hasktag. They’re in the moment using 5 or 6 relevant hashtags, with 1 or 2 broader ones. Nice work, Joshua.

Comment on 8 Examples of Brands Using Instagram to Showcase Company Culture by Joie Mojica http://www.toprankblog.com/2017/05/company-culture-instagram/#comment-558647 Tue, 30 Jan 2018 11:37:00 +0000 http://www.toprankblog.com/?p=22281#comment-558647 I wonder if hashtag strategies works with brands too? I usually use Hashatory as my main tool in sharing content in Instagram. But I guess what really works is lifting the machismo when it comes to branding on Instagram. People can see through it nowadays. The more genuine and passionate your brand is, the more people will empathize and relate to a business or product.

Comment on New Year, New Outlook: TopRank Marketing’s 2018 Integrated Digital Marketing Predictions by Infogrow http://www.toprankblog.com/2018/01/2018-digital-marketing-predictions/#comment-558644 Sun, 28 Jan 2018 14:16:00 +0000 http://www.toprankblog.com/?p=23698#comment-558644 This was a really great read. From the list above the impact of artificial intelligence seems like the greatest opportunity for marketing. AI is still pretty new which can allow for marketers to come up with more creative ways to deliver content to consumers. Especially when considering how last year many people bought items like the Echo, and the popularity of Pokemon Go.

Comment on 5 Purpose-Driven Companies Making an Inspiring Splash on Social Media by Caitlin Burgess http://www.toprankblog.com/2017/12/purpose-driven-social-media/#comment-558637 Mon, 22 Jan 2018 16:32:00 +0000 http://www.toprankblog.com/?p=23405#comment-558637 Hello there! Thank you so much for reading. That’s a great question. It’s true, many companies often define mission and purpose in much the same way – and the waters are a little muddy.

Historically, mission has often been attributed to business objectives – such as “It’s our mission to provide our customers with a cutting edge software platform that makes life easier, drives results, and helps build relationships.” But over the years, purpose has emerged as something much, much deeper – essentially being the essence of why companies do business at all.

As you can see from the examples above, each company has a defined issue or problem they’re passionate about, and their entire business has been built around addressing that issue or problem. Their purpose drives their business, rather than having their business drive a purpose/mission. Hopefully that helps clarify my point.

If you’re looking for more reading and insight, I recommend checking out anything by Mack Fogelson. We were lucky enough for her to visit us and share her insights on purpose. We’ve also covered some of her thoughts in this piece: http://www.toprankblog.com/2017/03/purpose-authenticity-marketing/

Thank you again for reading!
