Google DoubleClick Deal Good to Go

Posted by Lee Odden on Dec 20th, 2007 in Google, Search Industry News |

At the SIS conference last week there were a number of DoubleClick employees in attendance. In fact, I sat next to Cam Blazer during dinner one night and any speculation or questions about Google and the acquisition approval from the FTC had to be answered with a “We’ll have to see” sort of answer.

Well, now the Google DoubleClick deal is official and the news is lighting up the web.

I for one, would love to get a few questions answered, like “How does it work for a search engine to own an agency that provides PPC and SEO services like DoubleClick Performics?”

Some SES Chicago Swag

Checking out the expo hall, there are always a few great deals and lots of free iPods to sign up for. I skipped most of the iPods this year as I was a afraid of all the follow-up emails and/or sales calls.

However, here is some good swag that I did pick up.

DoubleClick DART Search Party

Posted by Lee Odden on Mar 1st, 2006 in Online Marketing, Search Engine Strategies, Search Industry News |

There were several after-conference events last night at SES NYC. Marchex held a bash and there was a small, invite only thing for MSN AdCenter as well. I did not make it to either, but instead dropped by the DoubleClick DART Search Launch party that was held in the pentouse loft at Rockefeller Center. Lots of agencies and search engine reps were in attendance. Here are a few photos from my truzty Razr:

DoubleClick Launches DART Search

Posted by Lee Odden on Feb 28th, 2006 in Marketing PR Conferences, Online Marketing, Pay Per Click, Search Engine Strategies, Web Analytics |

DoubleClick has announced the launch of their new keyword management, bid management and reporting tools, called DART Search that integrate with the DART Ad Management Platform.

Adding DART Search enables clients the ability to manage their paid search campaigns as well as tracking their display, rich media and search advertising from one location.

There’s quite a few bid management tools out there and I think DART Search is focused mosted on existing DART Ad Management clients. Although, adding the keyword and bid management tools may allow DoubleClick to win over clients that are currently outsourcing those services elsewhere.
