Marketing Sherpa published their “Marketing Wisdom” report for 2007 today. 110 marketers and agencies contributed nuggets of marketing wisdom which were compiled into the report.
Every time I get the pitch from Marketing Sherpa to suggest a marketing tip, I save the email for later and by the time I’m ready to reply they’ve published the guide. I guess I’ll have to speed up my response time.
There are a variety of marketing topics and tips including: email, blogs and RSS, social media, search marketing and more.  Download the pdf here.
Things like this are easy to put off and then forget. Since I was in marketing mode for our launch I submitted whatever was on the top of my head, and it was included! (#28)
Thanks for a great blog!
Thank you so much for this post. A long read, but tons of nuggets. We’ve got some work to do.
First thing, I believe is we need to start blogging. We have a page that we post updated comments, but it isn’t an official blog.
And not just blogging for traffic, but blogging to truly provide good information. That has been our goal with the rest of the site.
Yes, we need to make money, but if the content isn’t useful, who will come back.
One question, we don’t post our fees because we prefer to talk to people and make sure they understand what we do. Do you think we should just bite the bullet and post the fees? How could we test the effectiveness if we do post the fees?
a new way marketers are doing i know because i was drafted to it is to pay bloggers to comment on sites or run sites and make sure to post about them, and sponsoring individual blogs its helped.
