Super Proposal Update

Lee Odden     Online Marketing

About a month ago, I did a post about a fellow who is working to raise money and media attention in order to secure a sponsor for a marriage proposal during the Super Bowl, “One Super Proposal“. My freind, Joe Morin is helping this guy out with media relations as is Greg Jarboe on the PR side of things.

Joe told me last night he posted an announcement that “JP” will be doing a segment on “Good Morning America” tomorrow morning. JP’s identity will be disguised so as to not tip off the lucky lady he plans to propose to. For those of us working during that time, I hope Joe and JP will be posting a copy of the show to YouTube or Google Video.

This is a very curious exercise in viral and buzz marketing for sure. I’m going to do my best to find a way to meet “JP” if I can, because there are a lot of questions “buzzing” about this. Regardless, all the media attention they’ve achieved already is pretty amazing.

  1. if you could find a copy of this on YouTube or anywhere, please let us know by updating this post! thanks!!

  2. Hey gigi, if they do, I will certainly post a link.

  3. I didn’t see the proposal on the superbowl tonight. Granted, we were at a neighbor’s house playing pool and darts at the same time as the game, I might have missed it.

Did anyone else see the “Super Proposal”?

  4. According to the mysuperproposal.com site, the commercial won’t/didn’t air during the super bowl, but will likely show in ifilm.com. Here are the commercials that DID show during the super bowl: http://www.ifilm.com/superbowl
