Reader Poll: Best Search Engine Marketing Email Newsletters

Lee Odden     Online Marketing, Reader Polls

reader poll

Last week we ran what turned out to be the single most popular TopRank® Reader Poll ever on favorite SEO podcasts with over 380 votes. It was a tough competition with 4 podcasts running neck and neck, but the winner is the Strike Point podcast with Dave Naylor and Mikkel deMib Svendson. Beginning SEO Podcast (which I did last night) followed in second with Danny Sullivan’s Daily Search Cast in third.

Now for this week’s poll, we’ll turn to another popular source for information on the search marketing industry, email newsletters. Of the many sources of information on search marketing, email continues to be a channel that I use for quick news scans on industry news and particularly for articles.

Is it the same for you? If so, share your preferences.

I voted for Jill’s High Rankings – what I really think is valuable there is how she takes a subscriber’s question and gives it a wider context by relating it to her overall SEO/M theory. I always take some time to read High Rankings because of that section. Plus Jill just rocks!

  2. I’m surprised SEL is not #1. It is for me. BTW, I think the Online Marketing Blog is the top blog. Thanks for all the polls. Did you do one on search print magazines? I saw a poll that said Search Marketing Standard got 60% and Website Magazine only got 12% but forget where. If you know, post it please. Also, if you haven’t already, why not a poll on the search rags?

  3. Hello Claudia, this most recent poll is only for email newsletters.

We did do a poll of print magazines that cover search engine marketing here.

    Thanks for your kind comments!

  4. Thnks, Lee. Looked at your poll, and results were very similar to the one I saw, but I can’t remember where it was or who did it. Guess both must be accurate.

  5. I am a stats guy. I love stats, graphs, statistical information to help me make better decisions when I am working with my clients.

I love WPN and SEL as well. Shoot I subscribe to almost all of these.
