I’m also hoping to see a stronger shift in 2016 influencer marketing tactics from, “How can I use this influencer?” to “How can I build a win-win relationship with this influencer and his/her community?”
As the industry becomes more seasoned as a whole, it’s exciting to see best practices begin to infiltrate influencer outreach to a greater depth. Sooooooooooo tired of lame, lazy pitches that are nothing more than bad backlink requests!
Platforms like Traackr have done a good job at expanding their capabilities to support the ongoing relationship aspect of influencer marketing. I’d like to see more, faster of course, but it’s progress.
Regarding lame, lazy pitches – I completely agree.
