Todd And (Andrlik) published a list of 150 marketing blogs and I’m happy to note that Online Marketing Blog is ranked at #5 between Brian Clark’s most excellent Copyblogger and Church of the Customer’s Ben McConnell and Jackie Huba. With Seth Godin at #2 and Steve Rubel’s Micropersuasion at #17 I’m pretty amazed. This is a dynamic list and you can read about the ranking criteria here.

A few people did interviews with me that were published this week. One with Michael Gray as part of his awesome collection of local search marketing interviews, “Local Search Tips, Tricks and Secrets“.

The other interview was with a UK search marketing agency blog, ViperChill where I talked about everything from getting into the search biz, starting a blog about scotch and tips for people starting out in the search marketing business that want to get noticed by the industry.

Next week I’ll be doing an online radio interview with “Online Marketing with RSS Ray” over at wsradio.com talking about using blogs as search marketing tools.

I’d like to make sure our amazing readers know about the upcoming High Rankings Search Engine Marketing seminar coming to Minneapolis March 15 & 16. I’ve place a graphic to promote this on the right side of the blog. Jill Whalen is a pioneer in the SEO world and I am very honored that she has asked me to join her and the excellent group of SEO and PPC experts she’s gathered to do this seminar.

My session is called, “UnGoogle Your Search Marketing – Alternative ways to drive search traffic to your web site”. I don’t think there’s been any kind of “how to” search engine marketing seminar in Minneapolis before, so this should be a very well-attended event. Plus there will be lots of networking with the speakers. There’s a 10% early bird discount if you register by Feb 15. PLUS there’s an additional 25% discount for Online Marketing Blog readers. Just use the code: TOPRANK.

As soon as I’m done speaking at Jill Whalen’s High Rankings Seminar, I hop on a plane to Chicago for the Advanced PR Technology conference to speak with Greg Jarboe on a panel about “Boosting PR Visibility with SEO and RSS“. The following week I’ll be flying to Sydney, Australia for the “Search Engine Room” conference for two sessions: one on social media and another on marketing with blogs. March is turning out to be quite a month!

No more posts for me today, I’m off to a place in Northern Minnesota called Lutsen to do some skiiing. Apparently the 2 degrees below zero temperature here in Minneapolis wasn’t cold enough – we’ve got to go 5 hours north and really get a taste of a Minnesota winter.

Sounds like a lot of good stuff. Are you going to make the meat of “UnGoogle Your Search Marketing” available online to those of us who can’t attend?

Hey Joe, that’s part of what other people are paying $1300 for, so I doubt the details will get posted online. However, if you’re interested in the post that inspired this session, visit, “UnGoogle Your Marketing with Social Media“

Thanks Chris. We did hit Lutsen and it was a good time. We stayed at a nice resort and I’m looking forward to going back sometime soon.
