Update for 2013: What are your favourite UK based online marketing blogs? We’re taking nominations for our 2013 list to be published in February. Please share in the comments below!

Last year we ran a poll to identify the top Internet Marketing blogs in the UK which ended up getting a little spicy.  There were over 3,000 votes cast (both human and bot) plus a ton of lively discussion (60+ comments). Many long time online marketing folks know of our famous BIGLIST of SEO blogs and so there was a lot of awareness and interest in getting on the UK list.

A lot has changed in the past year so I think it’s worth revisiting that list.

Thank you to all who participated in our little poll seeking votes for the best UK Online Marketing Blog last week. That link will take you to the full list as well as the voting results.

The purpose was to create awareness of UK centric blogs that share as much of a passion for Online Marketing topics as we do here at Online Marketing Blog. 35 blogs were listed and many put effort into promoting themselves via blog post, Twitter, email, Facebook and other channels of communication. That combined promotion effort plus our own drove thousands of visits to the post and subsequently back out to the individual UK Online Marketing blogs that were listed.

What a remarkable date today! 09/09/09.  Welcome to the UK Edition of TopRank’s BIGLIST of Search Marketing Blog reviews. Since I’m in London this week, (photo above was taken with my trusty 3GS iPhone) I decided to focus mostly on SEO/PPC and Social Media Marketing Bloggers here in the UK.  It’s a nice mix of search, social, web dev/design and analytics, so fire up your RSS reader and subscribe!

Our Featured SEO Blog this week is from Malcolm Coles. This is a personal blog by Malcolm Coles of Digital Sparkle that offers observations about internet marketing categorized mostly as good and bad reviews. He also focuses very specifically on newspaper web sites. If you want to know anything about UK based newspapers and their place within search engines this is the place to be.
